The Dark is Rising is a film adapatation of a novel of the same name. Written by Susan Cooper its the tale of an eleven year old who discovers he belongs to the last group of immortals who are charged with defending the world against the dark forces.

Amazingly, according to Variety through Coming Soon, David Cunningham is set to direct, yes the man who directed The Path to 9/11! Now theres a switch if every I saw one...or is it? Are there two uncanny parallels there?
